Gene Leman

Gene LemanGene is a managing director of Chapman Partners. Prior to that, Mr. Leman spent over 40 years as an executive in the meat and pork industry.

Mr. Leman served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Fresh Meats division of IBP. During his tenure, sales in that division rose from 10 billion to 15 billion.

Mr. Leman was instrumental in the acquisition of Foodbrands America, Corporate Brands, and Thorn Apple Valley while at IBP. In 2001, Mr. Leman helped lead a transitional team, first in the sale of IBP to Tyson Foods and then in the integration of the respective meat and pork operations of both IBP and Tyson.

Prior to IBP, Mr. Leman was an executive with Wilson Foods. He currently serves on the Economic Council of South Sioux, Nebraska and is a Board of Director of several private companies. He previously served on the Board of United Way of Greater Siouxland. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois.
