Paul Friedman

Paul Friedman is a managing director of Chapman Partners. He brings over 35 years of operating experience in the food service, food processing and bakery industries.

Prior to joining Chapman Partners, Mr. Friedman was the Senior Vice President of Bunge Foods Group, responsible for the value-added foods business of Bunge Corporation. During his tenure at Bunge, he was responsible for the acquisition of oil processing facilities to expand geographical coverage and for frozen bakery companies to complete the value added bakery product mix. In addition, in order to provide a clearer focus on the core business, he divested a regional bakery distribution business as well as a dairy technology business.

As Group President of CFS Continental, he was responsible for the coffee, food products and chemical divisions. After the merger with A.E. Staley, he directed the integration of the Staley Food Processing business units into the existing food units, creating a national food service manufacturing group. After the sale of this business to Borden, he led the team that rationalized the business prior to joining Bunge Corp.

Mr. Friedman graduated from the University of Georgia and received a Master’s Degree from Rutgers University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Fiberstar. He has also served on the Board of JMH International.
